Our team may not be granting a big round of multiple U.S. FAA section 333 exemptions for unmanned aircraft systems companies to operate commercially, but we will be doing our part very soon to move the industry forward. In late August and throughout September, we’ll be rolling out numerous feature length pieces, infographics and unique two-page spreads that will help show where the industry is at on a number of issues—from beyond line of sight to major commercialization efforts.

We are also planning for some very informative—and most importantly down right good stories—that will appear as online exclusives. These pieces will supplement our weekly coverage of the industry. And, expect to see some video’s accompanying a handful of the online exclusives. It is almost an injustice to certain UAS stories not to include some video footage taken from the perspective of a sUAV.

We get pitched stories almost every day. Although we have an incredible backlog of great stories on the UAS industry that have never been told or even approached before, we never get tired of hearing a story pitch. If you think you have a unique story, interesting angle to a mainstream topic or want to just share your perspective with us, now is the time if you want to have any chance to make it into print for the Q3 issue. And, just so you know, the issue will be distributed at one of the longest running, most well respected UAS events in existence, the UAS Summit in Grand Forks, N.D.

Hope to hear from you soon.
